About Emerald Dance Academy
At Emerald Dance Academy we offer group classes as well as private, semi-private and special event
lessons.
EDA highly values family, fun, and quality dance. We are known for quality lessons in a loving environment.
Classes are offered for ages 3 to adult, from absolute beginners to the advanced dancers. We encourage boys to try it out as well.
We are very proud of the lessons and opportunities that we offer our students and hope you will find the information you need to learn about our available dance lessons.

Mr. Steve began his dance career at the age of 5 as a member of the Ann Arbor German Park Professional Dance Troupe where he performed for over 40 years. He began working with stages with that group then joined the Detroit International Feis Committee where he became the Layout Supervisor responsible for the construction of a dozen Irish dance competition stages in addition to accommodating spectators, vendors, staff, and crowds. He also studied tap, ballroom, square dancing, and English country dancing. Mr. Steve taught square dancing in Germany and German dancing in the USA.

Dancing since 1995, Miss Delia has learned various types of dance such as ballet, tap, ballroom, German folk, square, lyrical, and hip hop in addition to studying comparative dance and choreography, and has performed at nursing homes for fun, as well as on stage professionally with the Wild Swan Theater for their show "The Changeling."
In 1998 she began Irish Step Dancing at the Tim O'Hare School of Irish dance where she performed and competed in solo and group pieces. Miss Delia became associated with the Ealain Ceime School of Irish Dance, achieved the Open Championship level in competition for solo and group pieces, and has worked under the tutelage of notable show dancers such as Bernadette Flynn, Damien O'Kane, and Sheila Ryan.
As a teacher Miss Delia has choreographed and taught steps to all ages and levels, with the youngest student being 3 years old up through adults and Senior Citizens and has taught at the Saline Celtic Festival and taught Ceili dance at school and festive functions.

instruction by her Irish grandmother at the age of 3. She was further instructed in her Irish hard-shoe dancing by her father who learned from his Irish parents. She also studied ballet from an early age, and later studied ballroom, square dancing, contemporary dance, English country dance, and comparative dance. She danced professionally with Mr. Steve.
